One day, it dawned upon me that my old website looked outdated and unappealing. So, I sought inspiration and created a new website from scratch.
I loaded up my command prompt and started a new Next.js project with Tailwind CSS. At that point, I had no clear vision for my new website. The possibilities were endless. Therefore, I turned to YouTube and watched videos of people showcasing their portfolio websites. I took screenshots from various videos and developed a concept design.
Next, I began mapping out the design using temporary containers to see how the website flowed. At this stage, I was really pleased with the overall look of the website with this design, and I knew I had to expand on this idea. Consequently, I gradually created each section as a separate component to make the website as modular as possible. This approach worked perfectly, allowing me to save a significant amount of time by reusing elements and continually optimizing the website's loading times.
Then, I uploaded the first proper version of the website.
This was the initial version of the website I designed. However, after receiving feedback from my peers at college, I realized it needed more impact. So, I revisited the design and added more interesting backgrounds while fixing any bugs.
This is the most up-to-date version of the website as of May 23rd, 6:00 PM.
Furthermore, I ensured that the code was source controlled via GitHub, and this was made possible by Sanity.io and Vercel.
